: Taitasi Meitai :

Taitasi Meitai syes med 1 cm tykk, myk polstring i skuldrestroppene og de er 9 cm brede. De har også polstring i midjestroppen.

Taitasi Meitai har stropper som er fra ca 200 cm til 225 cm lange. Standard er ca 205 cm.
Stroppestoffet er i cordfløyel eller kraftig børstet bomull, men variasjoner forekommer.

Stroppene er sydd fast til panelet med ekstra forstrekning, og men slik at det ikke er synlig fra utsiden.

Det er flere ekstra lag med kraftig stoff i panelet, for ekstra trygghet og stødighet. De fleste har i tillegg vattering, for å få den deilig og myk.

De finnes i tre størrelser, størrelsene er bare en rettledning. Du kan ofte bruke den både før og etter alderen som står.

The Taitasi Meitai is manufactured with 1cm thick and 9cm wide soft padded shoulderstraps.The shoulderstraps themslves vary from 200cm to 225 cm in length. The standard length is 205cm.

The Taitasi Mei Tai can be sewn with regular and extra long straps. Those choosing extra long straps do so for a variety of reasons, including being able to use all different tying methods, such as the twist both front and back. You should also choose extra long straps if you consider yourself a heavier built mother or father.

The strap material is either corduroy or brushed cotton, but variations are available.
The straps are attached to the panel by way of extra reinforcement. This reinforcement is invisible.
Multiple layers of quality fabrics are attached to the panel for extra safety and hold. Most models also have extra soft padding for comfort.
All models are available in 3 sizes by age. The sizes are for guidance only, since you often may use the indicated size by age both for children a bit younger or older.




There is a sleepinghood as well sewn onto most Taitasis, providing extra support for your child when she is sleeping inside the carrier. The straps for the hood attach to the shoulder straps.
The Taitasi has been testen on newborns, babies and toddlers. Some newborns are comfortable from the beginning, whereas others report that their child was most comfortable in the Taitasi after a few months. These are individual results and as unique as your own situation will be. There is no upper limit. You may carry your three- and four-year old if you wish.

This is the design of the Baby Taitasi, both from the outside and the inside. It is fully reversible. It is 21 inches tall, and 15,5 inches wide on the most narrow part of the body. Toddler version is 25 inches tall.
The waiststraps are sewn onto the body so that the fabric does not squeeze your child’s legs.

: Raccoon Meitai :

Den er en meitai som er ensfarget, i lin, børstet bomull eller cordfløyel. Den har små hemper ved skulderstroppene. Enkelte Rccooner selges med dekorativt smykke der, men hempene kan også selvfølgelig brukes til å henge fast barnets smokk, eller en leke.
Noen har også sovehette som kan dekoreres med broderi.
Den er meget kraftig og stødig, dette er ingen lettvekter. Den veier ca 1000g. Det gjør den veldig supportiv til også de tyngre bærebarna. Panelet er ca 55 x 40 cm.
Skulderstroppene er ca 210 cm lange og ca 9,5 cm brede, de er polstret i et meget stødig stoff. Polstringen på Raccoon Meitai har blitt forandret siden de første ble sydd, de syes nå med samme skulderpolstring som Taitasi Meitai! Men med Raccoon sitt utseende.

Den har skråstilte midjestropper som er polstret der stroppen ligger mot midjen din, et gjør at den avlaster og bærer vekten behagelig.

The Racoon is a monocolor MeiTai, made of linen, brushed cotton or corduroy. There are also special editions available in silk, brocade or velvet. It is also avilable with or without a hood. It has small attachments for toys or other pacifiers at the shoulderstraps. Some Racoons are available with matching biotery.
The Racoon is a very rigid and is not a lightweight, The overall weigth is about 1000g. It is well suited for heavier children. The panel meassures 55 x 40 cm and is made rigid by way of multiple layers of materials. The waiststraps are crossed and has extra padding where the straps meet your body. This ensures a good carrying comfort.

The latest Raccoon Meitai's is manufactured with 1cm thick and 9cm wide soft padded shoulderstraps, same as the Taitasi Meitais! The Raccoon look is still the same!

: Cross-Wrap :

Cross-Wrapen har to korte ender som knyttes rundt midjen, da har du en trygg base til babyen når du knytter resten, som er to lengre sjal ender som legges over skuldrene, spres utover ryggen som et vanlig sjal.
Kortendene er ca 90 cm lange, og de lange endene er ca 225 cm lange. Bredden på lengdene er ca 35 cm.
Den kommer i flere stoff kvaliteter, hampjersey, hampsilke, lin og bambus fleece.

The Cross-Wrap has two short straps which are tied arround your waist and has two long straps over your shoulders. This ensures a safe platform for your baby while you tie the wrapstraps over your shoulders and thereby create a look which resembles a standard wrap.

The shorter ends are 90cm long. The longer ends are 225cm long. The width is 35cm for all ends.

It is available in several fabrics, hempjersey, hempsilk, linen and bamboofleece.

: Vinterinnlegg ::Winter-Insert :

Et deilig og varmt komfort innlegg til kjølige dager. Utsiden er om mulig, sydd i samme stoff som stroppene for å matche din Taitasi Meitai. Det er foret med ull eller minkee/puseinnlegg på innsiden for å gi en myk og lun innside til barnet. Det er et vindtett lag mellom de to ytterlagene. Det er veldig lett og feste ved å tre hempene inn på stroppene.

 So soft, comforting and warm on cool days. The Winter-Insert is made with an “outside” in the same fabric as the straps, in order to match your personal Taitasi. It is layered with wool or minkee on the inside, giving your child a warm and soft surface to cuddle against. There is a windproof layer in between the two layers.

The insert is easily fastened by “threading” it’s four corners onto your Taitasi waist- and shoulder-straps.

Use common sense when using your Taitasi. When worn correctly, it is perfectly safe.
If you are unsure as to how to tie the carrier on, or if you don't feel absolutely safe wearing your child in this manner, do not hesitate to contact Taitasi directly.

Both places will give you information about fellow babywearers in your vicinity who will share valuable information and experience with you!
Check you Taitasi regularly for signs of tears and wears. Always make sure your child’s air-passages are open. Ultimately, it is only YOU that is responsible for your child’s safety.

: Why would you carry your child? :

Handsfree – even if your baby has needs for closeness and security and YOU, you may still be online, do the dishes, go shopping, do the laundry – anything you may want (except drinking hot drinks while wearing your child tummy-to-tummy or other unsafe activities).

Your child feels secure – when your child is carried close to you, she will not feel lonely and insecure. This in turn can provide for less crying.

Harmony – Children who are carried regularly cry less and some research indicates that they become independent faster.

Experiences – you can go for walks in the woods, offtrack, on the beach – places where you would normally have to stay off if you were using a stroller.

Practical – you can bring your child from the car seat directly into the baby carrier before you leave the vehicle. It is convenient at malls, narrow aisles at the grocery store, airports, and you may use stairs again!

An alternative to the stroller – you can bring it with you when you go for a walk with the stroller. This gives you an alternative to having to carry your child in your arms, or letting it cry, when it becomes fuzzy and needs her parents.

The baby carrier is small and convenient – it takes up practically no room!
